Protect AIC Henley Brook: Keep Our Trusted Principal and Stop Destabilising Our School

The issue

Parents, teachers, and community members of AIC Henley Brook are shocked and deeply concerned by the sudden transfer of our respected Principal, a leader who rebuilt trust, fostered stability, and created a culture of respect and success.
In a move that defies explanation and transparent communication, and without any consultation, the board of AIC has decided to replace her with the current controversial Principal of AIC Dianella, whose leadership has been widely questioned and whose tenure has seen major staff turnover and parental dissatisfaction.
This decision ignores the voices of staff, parents, and students and threatens to undo years of hard work in building a thriving, positive school culture.
What’s happening?
•    The current AIC Dianella Principal is being transferred to Henley Brook for 2026.
•    The Henley Brook Principal, who has successfully led the campus and built strong community relationships, is being transferred without consultation or explanation.
•    Many teachers who left Dianella due to poor leadership issues have since joined Henley Brook and are now being placed back under the same management.
•    Parents, students, and staff were not informed or given an opportunity to raise concerns.
•    This appears to be a reactionary move following expansion by Al Ameen College, rather than a decision based on student welfare or educational outcomes.
The impact of such an abrupt change without community consultation is immeasurable. It risks destabilising the tight-knit, supportive environment our Henley Brook leadership has worked hard to create. This change not only threatens the quality of education but potentially undermines the social-emotional wellbeing of our students who depend on stability and familiarity for their academic and personal achievement.
For our students
Henley Brook has been a model of progress -collaborative teachers, consistent leadership, and strong parent engagement.
That progress is now at risk.
If this transfer goes ahead:
•    Teachers who rebuilt their professional confidence will likely leave.
•    Students will face instability and uncertainty.
•    Parents will lose trust in the College’s leadership.
•    The entire community will see the erosion of a culture that took years to build.

What we’re asking for
1.    Immediate suspension of the leadership transfer pending full review.
2.    Transparency from the AIC Board on why this decision was made and who approved it.
3.    Consultation with parents, staff, and the school community before any changes take effect.
4.    Recognition of the achievements of the Henley Brook leadership team and the stability they created.

Our message to the AIC Board
Leadership reshuffles should never come at the cost of community trust.
We call on the Board to prioritise continuity, transparency, and student welfare not internal politics or reactive management.
