Residents of Acton are raising concerns regarding the proposed 5-storey, 80-unit apartment development at 97 Bower Street.

While we support thoughtful and responsible growth in our community, many residents believe this proposal is not compatible with the character, scale, and infrastructure capacity of this established heritage neighbourhood.

Community concerns include:
• Increased traffic and congestion on residential streets
• Overflow parking impacting surrounding homes
• Pressure on water, wastewater, and stormwater management infrastructure
• Potential flooding concerns
• Increased strain on local services
• Building height and density incompatible with nearby historic homes
• Loss of neighbourhood character and green space
• Safety concerns for pedestrians, families, and residents

This proposal would introduce more than 200 additional residents into an area not designed for this level of density.

Acton deserves responsible development that respects the people and neighbourhoods already here.
