Please check out this story link below.

Again, we are NOT opposed to any development, just not in its current form. Kitsilano actually STOPPED their development. Different circumstances, but does show that local residents, like us, CAN make a difference here!

The original “deal” was for 335 units, period. Ask Saanich, they know this.

Not sure how the BC Government can actually rationalize this to themselves and especially to the public, this recent idea of being dictated to what our community can and can’t do with NO public consultations! I don’t understand how the government can just throw away our civil liberties. It is mind blowing! We still live in Canada, right?

This need to provide housing is real and needed, but at what cost? To create a blanket solution to this problem is both unconstitutional, and to be frank, just wrong. They can’t just change the rules to suit their political agenda. Each development HAS to be decided on a case-by-case basis, as each situation is different. Sure, put in processes to expediate, but to force this issue is just unethical.

The Eby government is also putting a HUGE strain on the poor civil servants and municipal employees who are bearing the brunt on this! Nice.

Please see this link below, it is are VERY interesting!!
