Thanks everyone for all the support! This is great. Well done. I just wanted to mention that although we have several numbered concerns listed on this petition document, there are certainly many more. The primary purpose of this petition is to send a strong community message that we are unhappy with the development, in its current form. It is simply too large for our rural and semi-rural area. Once we get this message to Saanich Council, we can dive into the details, as there will be many. So please do not think that these are the only concerns we have. We want everyone to have input here, and this will come. 

Bottom line is that Aragon is trying to sneak by an initially proposed development of 335 units to now 1165! This could increase, we do know that. One of the Aragon principles mentioned at the meeting in November that they can and will adapt to “current market conditions”. Not sure what that means, but it appears they basically have an open-ended agenda to do as they please, with complete disregard for us residents in the community. Their profitability is not our problem. 

This petition is a call for accountability within our community, and the rights we have for a full public consultation.
