This petition arises from our personal experiences of prejudice and discrimination. My friends were marked out for their different religious beliefs. These incidents are not isolated. They reflect a deep-rooted societal problem that calls for collective action. It is not only upon us survivors, but also on everyone who believes in human dignity and equality, silence and inaction are not options.

In the United States alone, the FBI reported a 17% increase in hate crimes from 2016 to 2017 (FBI, 2017). Globally, one in three LGBTQ+ people face some form of discrimination (ILGA, 2021). It is time we all gathered strength from these sobering figures to herald a more inclusive world.

This campaign aims to compel global institutions and businesses to advance policies that foster inclusivity and respect for all, regardless of their faith, sexual orientation, or background. Aligning with this goal, I am taking the first step by establishing a foundation and business dedicated to encouraging those who have been belittled for being different.

Yet we need your backing to amplify our message for each stride we make. We can alter attitudes, transform structures, reinstate human dignity, and in doing so, truly globalize acceptance.
