Promote awareness of animal therapy ❤️
The Issue
Hello :)
Thank you for visiting my page ❤️❤️
I would like your help to raise awareness over the positive benefits of animal therapy.
My main goal is to allow animals on the wards or in a dedicated therapy room/ outside on the grounds to help patients recover and support them during their stay in hospital.
It could form part of their care and treatment plan. Eg children in hospitals would love some fury friends to come visit and cheer them up. Being away from family and friends can create feeling of loneliness and disconnection from the real world.
Psychological studies have found that animals can reduce loneliness, increase feelings of social support reduce stress, anxiety as well as boost your mood.
Dogs can reduce stress, anxiety and depression. Cats and even rabbits have also been shown to provide exceptional therapeutic support to people in need.
Having therapeutic animals will help to reduce the feelings of loneliness and in general, create a more therapeutic and homely environment.
We believe that this will be beneficial to not just patients, but staff inside and out of the wards, as together we are all human.
They provide companionship, can elevate levels of serotonin and dopamine which would help keep calm and relax. Caring for them can help you feel wanted and needed and adds structure to our days as well.
Playing with a dog, cat or any other pet can elevate levels of serotonin and dopamine which would help us calm and relax.
Please could you sign my page and share. Feel free to add pictures of your pets too! ❤️❤️
**Pleas note some of the information above has been cited online and form the Mental Health Foundation. The link to the website may ask for donation - apologies for that, please don't feel pressured to donate as the signatures mean a lot to me to help raise awareness.❤️❤️
