PROJECT RESTART X ROBBIE´S LAW

The Issue

Our mission and end goal are to help spread the word about PROJECT RESTART, our initiative to pass Robbies Law in Nassau County, which is currently pending and aims to require automated external defibrillators at all county-owned athletic fields and courts to ensure the safety of children and adults. PROJECT RESTART is our personal mission to expand access to AEDs and CPR training for communities, camps/councils, and local restaurants and businesses. We wanted to ensure all community members feel comfortable and safe at all times by installing AEDs in more public areas, such as temples, churches, and even larger restaurants that serve over 75 people a night. Our end goal is to increase AEDs in public places and expand camps, ensuring that camp counselors, teachers, and younger children are CPR-certified, making them feel prepared and ready to take action. This civic project is close to our hearts because our grandfather passed away from a heart condition, and we want to ensure that others don't struggle as well. We hope to support the Robbie Levine Foundation and raise awareness about the importance of AEDs and CPR certification. It's essential to emphasize that even one life can be saved when others have the confidence and courage to take action.
