Hi, our names are Marcella Valdes and Giuliana Issa. We are both juniors at Doral Academy Highschool and believe that students should have access to free period products in bathrooms. Studies show that 1 in 4 girls in the U.S. will miss school due to period poverty.  Doral Academy has about 1075 females, according to this ratio, that means possibly 216 female students are missing school due to lack of resources. Menstruation is not a choice.  No student should have to face educational barriers because they cannot afford essential hygiene products. As your fellow peers, join us in signing this petition to empower educated young women and supply each bathroom with pads. BE APART OF BRIDGING THIS BARRIER!!!
