Hello, all.
Here are a few upcoming events you can participate in to protect Indy’s drinking water and save Eagle Creek park and reservoir.
UPCOMING EVENTS
- Sign-waving for Eagle Creek TODAY, Friday, February 27th from 4-6 PM. Please park at the Mary and John Geisse Soccer Complex, 7225 W 56th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46254. We will cross 56th street at the cross walk then sign waving down the side walk along 56th street. You may bring your own signs and we will bring signs too! Also, Protect Pike Township will have “Save Eagle Creek, Save our Water” yard signs for sale for $7 cash to take home. You are welcome to just show up, but you can let us know if you can join here, too: Sign Up
- Lebanon City Council Meeting again on Monday, March 9th arrive at 7pm, meeting begins at 7:15 PM. Lebanon Municipal Building 401 S. Meridian Street, Lebanon, IN 46052. We attend their city-council meeting on 2/23 where LEAP water allocation was discussed and we were allowed to give public comment. They didn’t vote on anything and will have a second reading at this meeting. We want to continue to show solidarity in our efforts to stop the LEAP wastewater from being directly dumped into Eagle Creek and also advocate for no further water to be taken from Eagle Creek reservoir no matter how many future tenants occupy the LEAP district.
- SAVE THE DATE- Saturday, 3/14 at 10 AM for a community walk to protect Eagle Creek park and reservoir, home to Indy’s drinking water. We will announce the exact location and more info ASAP once all details are confirmed.
