Prohibit France from Hosting Major International Sporting Events Until 2045

The Issue

The reason beings are as follows:

I. France endangered swimmers with polluted rivers

Claire Michel fell ill after her swim in the Seine River; the German committee said in its statement that 3 of its athletes became ill. Two female German open water swimmers were treated for nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

The primary concern was the presence of E. coli, a bacteria indicating fecal contamination, which can cause gastrointestinal illnesses. Symptoms of such illnesses include watery or bloody diarrhea, severe stomach cramps, vomiting, and fever.

Besides E. coli, other bacteria associated with sewage, such as Enterococcus, Salmonella, and Campylobacter, were also concerns

France was unable to clean the main waters that would be used for triathlon events and open-water swimming, at one point even needing to postpone the entire men's individual triathlon race due to poor water quality in the Seine River.

II. France made consistent errors in pivotal moments

In the beginning of the opening ceremony, the Olympic flag was accidentally raised upside down

Romanian gymnast Ana Barbosu was affected by a scoring error that initially cost her a medal.

The French Olympic organizers played Sudan's national anthem at South Sudan's games.

The French Olympic organizers introduced South Korea as North Korea.

Event organization let a series of falls happen in the men's 500m race, including a cameraman that accidentally stepped onto the track, causing further disruption.

Lastly, several protests and strikes occurred including airport staff and performers due to dissatisfaction with pay and working conditions. These actions threatened to disrupt the Games.

Malaysian cyclist Azizulhasni Awang was disqualified for overtaking the derny in his race, a controversial decision as some claim a French rider was aggressively threatening to push him away.

III. France created extremely poor living conditions for Olympic athletes

A) AC

The French organizers had "commitment to sustainability and creating an eco-friendly environment". In an effort to show the world how green and eco-friendly they were, the French Olympic organizers tried to have the "greenest ever Games".

Athletes were alarmed and asked for portable air conditioners to be allowed. In an effort to show the world how advanced and humanitarian they were, The French organizers initially ruled out the use of portable air conditioners, with the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, emphasizing the importance of sustainability over comfort - claiming that the focus was on the survival of humanity, rather than the immediate comfort of athletes.

Unfortunately, athletes have dedicated their lives to their sport and strive for excellence in order to compete at the highest level in the most competitive stage.

Many athletes expressed dissatisfaction with the living conditions, citing the heat and lack of adequate cooling as major issues. Athletes worried that the heat could affect their sleep, performance, and recovery. Some claimed the temperature at night while they were trying to sleep and recover was 79 degrees Fahrenheit, or 26.1 degrees Celsius.

Italian swimmer Thomas Ceccon expressed his dissatisfaction with the conditions at the Olympic Village during the 2024 Paris Olympics, particularly highlighting the lack of air conditioning and poor food quality. In an interview with Italian broadcaster Rai, Ceccon mentioned that the absence of air conditioning made it difficult to sleep, both at night and during his usual afternoon naps. He stated, "There is no air conditioning in the village, it’s hot, the food is bad," and added, "I’m disappointed that I didn’t make the final but I was too tired. It’s hard to sleep both at night and in the afternoon". Thomas Ceccoon even elected at one point to sleep outside rather than stay in the village.

Several national teams, including those from the United States, Australia, Italy, and others, decided to provide their athletes with portable air conditioning units at their own expense. This decision was based on feedback from athletes who prioritized having a controlled environment to optimize their performance.

In response to the backlash, the organizers allowed countries to order portable air-conditioning units at their own expense. The ability of wealthier countries to afford portable AC units raised concerns about fairness, as athletes from less affluent nations might not have access to the same level of comfort.

It seems extremely common-sense to provide top-notch air conditioning for any athlete who is dedicating their time, commitment, livelihood, hopes, and dreams to their sport. In many sports, the environment during sleep is a crucial part of recovery and training.

B) Cardboard Beds

Cardboard beds have been provided in other Olympic games and major sporting events, but this years have been particularly singled out as uncomfortable. Athletes elect to get mattress toppers and more, even further creating a gap in experience based on expenses and currencies. Athletes from lesser developed nations or from countries with inflated currencies might not have the same advantages as athletes from first-world countries do in their sleep and recovery.

IV. France was unprepared for the dietary needs of athletes; poor  food choices for the athletes

During the 2024 Paris Olympics, athletes faced significant issues related to food, marking the first time in recent history that food, the quantity of food, and the quality of food has been a notable, significant concern among the Olympic athlete community. Some athletes reported worms in their food.

A) Bad food

In an effort to show the world how green and advanced they are, the French Olympic organizers emphasized plant-based meals, with "60% of the meals being meat-free". This shift was not well-received by many athletes who rely on high-protein diets for performance. The lack of sufficient meat and protein options was a common complaint.

Proper nutrition and protein intake is extremely important to multiple aspects to many Olympic athletes. In some sports, it is crucial

availability and quality, which became a notable point of contention. Across social media, Olympic Athletes were mentioning the lack of access to high-quality, protein-rich foods and the bland nature of the food provided.

Several athletes, including Italian swimmer Thomas Ceccon and British swimmer Adam Peaty, expressed dissatisfaction with the food in general. Peaty, in particular, criticized the focus on sustainability, stating that it did not meet the nutritional standards required for athletes' performance levels.

A) Not enough food

The French organizers literally faced supply issues for the Olympic games they organized. The Olympic Village's dining area faced supply issues from the start, with shortages of eggs, grilled meats, and other high-protein foods. Athletes reported that certain food items were not replenished quickly enough, leading to dissatisfaction among those with specific dietary needs

Social media highlighted the lack of quality food in this year's games, with athletes from around the world agreeing on the lack of quality of the food.

Haitian track and field athlete Emelia Chatfield rated the dining hall food a rough 0/10, calling it "disgusting," but humorously noted it could be a 2/10 on some days.

Italian swimmer Thomas Ceccon expressed his disappointment with the food quality, stating that the lack of air conditioning and poor food affected his ability to rest and perform well.

Swiss rower Célia Dupré humorously posted a video saying, "Hyping myself up for the sprint to the Olympic dining hall before they run out of food," indicating that food shortages were a real concern.

British Swimmer Adam Peaty expressed concern and dissatisfaction with the quality of food in the Olympic village, noting that the athletes had discovered worms in the fish served in the cafeteria.

Some national teams, such as Great Britain, chose to bring their own chefs  to ensure athletes received adequate nutrition

V. Degenerate identity politics, Mocking of the last supper, and dishonesty

France this year chose to include sexual degeneracy, perversions, and transgender politics to the world stage, introducing it to children, toddlers, and young people across the globe. Not only was there a half-naked man whom many on social media reported inappropriate.

Many Christians felt that it mocked the last supper, with some devil's advocates claiming it represented the Feast of Dionysus. Here are the main points against that:

- The official title of the controversial scene from the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony was "La Cène sur un scène sur la Seine," which translates to "The Last Supper on a Stage on the Seine."

- The lead dancer, Barbara Butch, known for her advocacy in the LGBTQ+ community, put forth a social media post with Leonardo Da Vinci's the last supper, and a screenshot of the drag artists and scene. The post was titled "New Gay Testament". It was deleted after controversies started.

- Organizers at one point "admitted" that the scene was "inspired by the Last Supper"

Finding the official title, listed above, on traditional news outlets like CNN, NBC, Fox, and even on AI Search engines requires extra pushing and digging. The official title of the scene, as well as the general consensus of the performers in it, imply that the French Olympic organizers:

a) Knew this was the Last Supper and chose to represent it with drag, transgender politics, and general mockery

b) Went through with planning and organizing the event, even titling it "The Last Supper on a Stage on the Seine".

c) Were dishonest and lied to the general public when confronted

France's hosts for this scene have publicly declared that it was intended to mimic the Feast of Dionysus, despite organizers previously admitted on news that it was inspired by the last Supper, and despite earnest evidence to the contrary.

The general mocking of any religion - Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, or any other genuine religion worshipping an Almighty Being - not only does not belong in any Olympic games ever, but should be actively punished and reprimanded. There is no room for this ever; the inherent thesis of the Olympic games is mutual respect, competition, and admiration, and a meeting of the world's cultures and athletes, many of whom share different faiths. No religion should be mocked. The capacity for French organizers to do so points to a ghastly lack of accountability and a tremendous lack of legitimate power in France, and has frightening implications for what groups and what types of persons actually exercise power and organizational power in France. However, that is up to the French to tackle.

VI. Questionable religious policies

Some controversial decisions convey a sense of imposition of French secularism and arbitrary banning religious items to the world. The French Olympic organizers banned women athletes who wore Muslim headscarves, Hijabs, from competing.

"The ban on French women athletes who wear headscarves from competing at the Olympic Games breaches international human rights laws and exposes the discriminatory hypocrisy of French authorities and the craven weakness of the International Olympic Committee (IOC)", said Amnesty International in a new report published ahead of the Paris Olympic Games.

VII. France chose breakdancing as their Olympic sport to add into the 2024 Olympics, and did not properly govern acceptance, allowing for an extreme mockery of Olympic athletes

For the 2024 Paris Olympics, breakdancing, officially referred to as "breaking," has been selected as one of these additional sports. This decision reflects efforts to attract younger audiences and enhance the cultural relevance of the Olympics. The process for adding a sport involves the host country proposing it to the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which evaluates the sport based on various criteria, including its popularity and potential to engage viewers.

Whether the IOC's fault, or France's, the sport was not properly governed and allowed Australia to submit caricatures of breakdancing. This and the resulting controversies degrade the character and respect owed to the Olympics. France or the IOC should have carefully worked with any Australian body to carefully vet new additions to the sport for the Olympics.

VIII. France had consistently odd, occult, and seemingly-demonic entertainment choices

The mockery of Christianity mentioned above does not end with the opening ceremony; irrespective of all religious debate, the choice of entertainment for the opening ceremony - an overweight, shirtless male with genitalia almost showing or showing, as some claim, as well as drag - is inappropriate for younger audiences. If one includes the religious argument, labeling it a mocking of Christianity, France's actions are egregious and heinous, pointing to a profound lack of accountability and a truly corrupt nature of the decisions and organizational bodies included in the Olympics, which reflect the host nation's government.

France continued this streak with a profoundly inappropriate closing ceremony, which many on social media labeled occult, demonic, and simply odd. There is simply no need for this on the international stage, with viewers of many ages watching, nor any need for the entire international community - with its differing values, perspectives, ethnicities, and customs - to be exposed to this.

I'd challenge anyone reading this to go on YouTube, and watch the 2008 Beijing opening ceremony. That is a tremendous example of what the Olympics should represent, express, and honor; culture, tradition, the highest level of excellence and athleticism, and an honoring of athletes and their achievements as well as a meeting of the world community with common passions. The entire world community should, in this case, ban any nation from hosting that has not only misrepresented the Olympic Games' inherent purpose, but has served any type of degeneracy or perversion to the world, risked mocking any religion at all, or is unable to provide food and acceptable living conditions for athletes. This years' games included all 3, proving that this isn't a rash, temperamental decision, but a calculated and necessary one. In the past, France has hosted 3 Summer Olympics and a FIFA World Cup, doing a tremendous job. This ban petition isn't singling out one country in particular, but rather placing a fundamental ban based on principle and international decency, human respect, and the capacity of hosts to host respectably.

In this case, the IOC and other members in any organizational body should make a concerted effort to ban this behavior, so that all future Olympic games are time-honored, respected, and esteemed events that the entire world community holds near to their hearts, passions, and dreams.
