It’s been about a week since I started this petition and over 25 have joined our mission to get this annoying commercial off the air that makes our lives in quarantine worse! We still need to get more people to join our ranks! The more we gather, the more likely the this commercial will die out just like COVID-19 will! We can make this possible if we spread the word about this! If you have some money to spare, use it towards chipping in this petition and it will be shown more frequently on Change.org! (This is better than spending money on a “no ads” just for one annoying commercial. Just make sure you have enough money for getting the stuff you need to get through the pandemic!) If you’re on social media accounts like Facebook, Twitter, etc., share this petition! If you prefer to send the petition link privately, it can be done by email, SMS or sending it privately to other people, such as the YouTube users who complain about the commercial itself on that site.
Speaking of YouTube, I’m still checking that video of the commercial that should be retired just for the negative comments and it turns out that more people are complaining about that commercial. In fact, I have been looking for negative reviews about the commercial on other sites and I recently came across this one article about the commercial and there’s one thing that puzzles me about it: it says that Mara is new character. How is she a new character when in reality she has been in other Progressive commercials in the past, meaning that she’s not new at all? Take a look in the video above this description. This video contains a commercial that has Mara in it. Pay attention to the cringy line where Jamie’s wife says, “This one is tiny like child!” The people who wrote that article that I linked, haven’t these people payed attention to the commercial’s details, especially when it was overplayed to begin with? And the people claimed that “Off the Mara-ket” is the most annoying Progressive commercial ever? Aren’t they aware of the fact there were other Progressive commercials that were just as annoying as that or even worse than that? I could provide a full list of all the most annoying Progressive commercials ever that should be compared to the commercial that we want to be retired, but that would be very time consuming! I hope “Jamie’s 40th” would be a single, sufficient example of a Progressive commercial that would be just as annoying as “Off the Mara-ket”. Just listen the wife’s line for starters and maybe Jamie’s singing!
Just like with “Jamie’s 40th” and many other Progressive commercials, it’s going to take a while for “Off the Mara-ket” to go off the air permanently, but we can make that happen sooner with this petition! I urge you to spread the word about this and get others to sign! The people who had it with this cringy ad need to be aware of this petition!
