The situation of accommodation in the student community of the University of St Andrews is headed for turmoil. There is a larger influx of students arriving than the community has place to support, university accommodation is facing augmentations in price, and central private accommodation is becoming increasingly expensive and competitive. Price wars are also being instigated. The University has an obligation to support and accommodate its students, and we urge you to take action, whether it be by admitting fewer students, constructing more halls of residence, or placing a cap on the price of those existing. By whatever means necessary, we as students of the University demand fairer accommodation for all. Should action already be underway, place us at ease and vocalise these plans, as uncertainty breeds panic.  

We want answers about how the University is planning to rectify this mess.
