Please change your mind about the staff job losses you are planning at the University of Chester.

Most of us have never met you - is it true your main residence is in Cumbria not Chester? - that must be nice!

We are you customers who pay you more than £9,000 a year to be taught by the brilliant and committed staff at the University of Chester. We are proud of them and the University and we cannot see how getting rid of 86 jobs - some of them with compulsory redundancies - will help our student experience.

Many of us are from poor backgrounds, lots of us spend long hours working alongside our study, or caring for family members who need us.

We are not immature as you have been reported to call us - we are the reason this University exists and we are the hope for the future.

We deserve to be listened to and respected - so please listen to us and respect us by changing your mind.
