Today we were contacted by a member of our group who has been admitted again to a psychiatric unit following suicidal ideation

Thankfully she could reach to us for support and we have worked with her to ensure she knows when to use her links with existing medical teams when feeling at risk

Sadly to date there has been no active safeguarding by the NMC

This registrant has pre existing mental health issues which their safeguarding lead is aware of but the current system does not enable any proactive management of those registrants with health issues
