We’ve hit a major milestone: more than 1,000 people have signed on to protect North Sunnyvale from becoming a food desert. That’s 1,000+ neighbors speaking up for walkable neighborhoods, access to food, and support for local businesses.
But this isn’t the finish line, it’s the beginning of something bigger!
It’s not enough for city leaders to offer incentives that a developer doesn’t have to accept. And our state officials need to understand that policies like SB 330 are breaking communities apart, driving out local businesses and leaving families and seniors in food deserts.
We don’t believe they want to fail us, but we need their attention, and we need it now.
