Prince Andrew Gave Up Some Titles — Demand to Strip the Rest

Prince Andrew Gave Up Some Titles — Demand to Strip the Rest
The Issue
Prince Andrew has given up the title of Duke of York and his membership in the Order of the Garter — but only after sustained public pressure and behind-the-scenes talks with the King.
And yet, he still holds two powerful titles that only the King or Parliament can remove:
He remains a prince by birth, a title that continues to grant him status and influence;
He technically retains the Dukedom of York, which legally requires an Act of Parliament to fully revoke, despite reports that he has “given it up.”
Parliament is now under mounting pressure to examine what the royal family knew about Prince Andrew’s ties to Epstein and introduce a clear mechanism to fully strip him of all remaining titles.
This is not accountability. This is damage control.
Prince Andrew has been tied for years to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell — both convicted in connection with sex trafficking. He settled out of court with Virginia Giuffre, who accused him of sexually abusing her when she was 17. And while he denies the allegations, his refusal to cooperate with U.S. investigators and ongoing controversies continue to bring the monarchy into disrepute.
These steps are necessary — not just to protect the integrity of the monarchy, but to send a clear message that power cannot protect people from consequences.
We call on:
- King Charles III to issue a letters patent formally removing Prince Andrew’s royal status and title of “Prince”;
- Members of Parliament to pass legislation fully and permanently revoking the Dukedom of York;
- The government and royal household to support transparency and reform how royal titles are handled in cases of serious misconduct.
Virginia Giuffre is no longer here to speak for herself. But we can speak — for her and for every survivor who watched a man linked to Epstein cling to titles of nobility for decades.
Sign this petition to demand the full and permanent removal of Prince Andrew’s remaining titles. No one is above accountability — not even royalty.
