The two cases of Coronavirus from Iran and Italy have been confirmed recently. However, there is no restrict for entry from Italy, Korea and Japan where currently more increasing cases are confirmed everyday and obviously these countries are severe affected. Why there is no limit of entry for people from these countries? Why not shut down the entry way like dealing with China and Iran? It’s not fair for all New Zealanders and those people self-isolated from oversea. Prime minister Jacinda is so confident, seriously, so confident to say well prepared with only 17 ICU in Auckland hospital and all these limited medical resources? We all would rather be well prepared before hand and amend our strategies and policies necessarily than innocently being confident for nothing. Constant vigilance is always needed to combat the potential danger where thousands of hard workers in NZ are exposed. 

All Chinese people did not say anything but all support the ban for entry from China, as we all understand the severity of situation. However, now the situation has changed. The Virus spreading has been well controlled in China. But unfortunately some other countries did not survive at this stage. Even Austria’s new cases are confirmed from Japan and Korea. The Chinese community’s anxiety is all from attitude of government, overconfidence and taking for granted. We call for petition on limitation of entry for those highly affected countries. Also the airport checkout process need to be vigilant too!
