Impose Strict Lockdown in Delhi, Mumbai & worst affected Cities affected by Coronavirus
The Issue
Due to the Pandemic of Corona Virus, COVID-19, India, during the third week of June 2020, has now been placed at the rank -4 among the worst affected countries of the world, afflicting with the confirmed cases of Coronavirus. As per the world meter information https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ India, during the third week of June, has more than 4 Lakhs conformed cases with more than 13,000 and the number of corona patients and deaths has been escalating day by day.
As per the COVID India org website https://www.covid19india.org/ more than 50 % of the confirmed corona positive cases and registered deaths cases are from 3 leading states across India which are Maharashtra, Delhi & Tamil Nadu and out of which 3 cities Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai are Major cities having the highest number of the corona positive cases along with the registered deaths
India somehow has controlled the growth of the Corona cases during the first 2 Lockdown. But after the 4 lockdowns i.e 17 May 2020, the Ministry of the Home has granted autonomy to the states so that they can unlock the activities in a phased manner. But the condition of the Delhi & Mumbai cities, with the opening of the Lockdown, have become devastated due to spike jump in the corona cases and their registered deaths. It cannot be ignored that Delhi, the capital of City, which has recorded less than 100 cases of the confirmed cases of the corona per day during the Lockdown and with the opening of the Lockdown, now, has the spike cases of more than 3000 per day, and officials, as per the media reports, are projecting that the rise could be multiplied many times by the end of July. There will also be a sharp escalation of the deaths among the afflicted people if it has not been controlled
Tamil Nadu has already imposed the Lockdown in 4 districts which include Chennai. Thus, it has been suggested that strict Lockdown may be imposed on Delhi, Mumbai, and other worst-affected cities to cut down the multiplication chain of the coronavirus before it could spread among the community and reaches to stage -3. Various Countries across the world have unlocked their countries after controlling it completely. India could set an example by controlling this Pandemic in worst-affected cities before it could be too late
