Tourism Industry is very important for Malaysian economy . It is top 3 the most contributor to nation's GDP after manufacturing and commodities. The industry also provide 4 millions jobs for Malaysian .

Unfortunately , Malaysia Tourism Industry has been badly hit due to the pandemic Covid 19. Therefore the industry players needs urgent assistance and hope you can support the petition.

Let's Reset Tourism . Its important for the Industry TO LEAD and the Government TO SUPPORT : 

Below are the assistance we need urgently for industry to survive

1. Provide Automatic Loan Moratorium - Since there is NO INCOME , it make sense for BANKS to provide Automatic Loan Moratorium for at least 6 months starting in May 2021. Imagine the bus tour operators who has 10 busses need to pay monthly loan instalment of Rm100,000 per month even there is zero monthly income during MCO .
2. Reduced Unnecessarily Regulation and Expenses- Travel Agents should allowed to work from home and  should not make a compulsory to have a dedicated Physical Office for licence renewal , Deferred Income Tax Payment with implementation of Tax Exemption and No Need Audited Account to be submitted for renewal license.
3. Better Clarity on Standard of Procedure (SoP) of Covid 19 - Confusion caused higher expenses for industry to do business effectively. As tourism players  constitutes high number of companies registered in SSM , we need Industry Association like Malaysia Tourism Council (MTC) and MITA must be a member of Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) to assist Government on detailing the comprehensive SOP of Covid19 for the  industry .  
4. As tourism players are Industry Frontliners , the players must be given priority for vaccination exercise.
5. Start planning for industry's recovery such as implementing comprehensive strategies to open up international border for tourist who have been vaccinated. Look at the international best practice like Qatar , Maldives , UAE and others .We need to initiate a sandbox where we can test the specific destination such as Qatar - Malayisia before open up to other destinations.
