I didn’t want you to go...
You gave me no choice
I still reach for you each day
If only I could hear your voice ...
Everyday I ask you
‘Why didn’t you hang about?’
But you wanted to go
Ruby - why didn’t you shout .
We could have talked
We could have cried
But you kept it all inside.
And Ruby as my heart breaks each day
I will keep your life alive
Because more young people don’t deserve suicide
We were average joes , bobbing along
A single parent family
Nothing bad, nothing wrong
Hindsight is great ...unless you who know another
Have something to say - but most of you
...aren’t a mother
Social media the plight of a younger generation
But come on - we are a majority nation !
For Ruby , the hurt , the negativity back her law !!
Let’s look forward and give our children more.
Her sisters , her grandparents, her friends and me...
Destroyed - forever !! ...3 years will not be.
So you amazing petitioners I thank you FROM MY HEART
But let’s keep going ...because this is just the start
Thank you so so much ...come on we can do this , I could write a million words and more - nothing will ever explain my life or feelings, I hope no one ever has to experience what we have been through. Since Ruby’s death I am appalled at the ever increasing number of suicides , self harm and negative consequences as a result in social media amongst kids today ...and that’s it - they are kids. But now it’s adults too - and adults who feel they need to justify themselves on social media. So many ‘celebrities’ have taken themselves off platforms or deleted comments in recent days ...to late , you put it out there for followers for children who follow you. This needs regulated. No one without an NI number and ID should have access to social media and then limited to 18. Again - help for NHS , YOT, CJS - the UK government needs to be held accountable. The facts and statistics speak for themselves
Shine bright Ruby
