The largest ethnic group in Ethiopia is the  Amaras.

We are asking the Abiy Ahmed, the prime minister of Ethiopia, to reinstate (restore), the record that the largest ethnic group in Ethiopia is the Amara.

 Despite, the Amara ethnic group is the largest population in Ethiopia, but the Amaras, numbers were deliberately decreased in 1991, by the separatist groups namely, the Tigre People Liberation Front (TPLF), Oromo Liberation Front (OLF), and Eritrea Liberation Front (EPLF). 

Ethiopia has never been conquered. King Minilik II of Ethiopia defeated European forces in the Adwa Ethiopia war in 1896. To punish and divid Ethiopia, the defeated colonizers, including Italy, have planned to dismantle Ethiopia, by setting up separatists rebel groups among Ethiopians.
