Il problema

Who does this affect?

This is a matter that impacts every single person on this planet. The escalating tensions between the United States, led by Donald Trump, and Iran, governed by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President Ebrahim Raisi, threaten global peace and security. Whether you live in the Middle East, Europe, North America, or anywhere else in the world, the consequences of this conflict will touch your life — through economic instability, refugee crises, and the tragic loss of human lives.

What’s at stake?

If this dangerous escalation continues unchecked, we risk triggering a third world war. The violence won’t be confined to one region — alliances and military responses across the globe will ignite widespread destruction. Borders could be redrawn in blood, entire populations displaced, and generations scarred by the aftermath of a conflict that could have been avoided. The future of global peace, security, and humanity itself is on the line.

Why act now?

The time for words has passed. Immediate and responsible action is needed from world leaders. We urge:

  • U.S. President Donald Trump to halt all provocations and return to diplomacy.
Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President Ebrahim Raisi to exercise restraint and avoid violent retaliation.
  • European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, EU High Representative Kaja Kallas to use their diplomatic power to push for peace.
  • Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney
  • UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to actively support diplomatic solutions.
  • NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg to promote de-escalation and prevent global conflict.

What are we asking for, concretely?

We call for the immediate convening of an Emergency Global Peace Summit under the auspices of the United Nations, within the next 30 days, with participation from:

  • The United States and Iran at the highest diplomatic level
  • The European Union as mediator
  • NATO as a security stakeholder
  • Civil society representatives and peace organizations as observers

At this summit, we demand the following concrete steps:

  1. A mutual ceasefire declaration — formalized by both the U.S. and Iran.
  2. Reinstatement of the Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA) framework as a starting point for dialogue.
  3. Creation of an independent conflict de-escalation task force, with UN oversight, to monitor tensions and report publicly.
  4. Commitment to no first strike — a pledge from all parties involved to refrain from initiating any military action.
We urge every signatory of this petition to also:
