As residents of West Lyon Community School, we have experienced many issues over the last 12-18 months that some feel our administration failed miserably to handle correctly. Our community has suffered during this time with loss of high quality teachers, coaches and other staff. This is not just about numbers; it's about the quality of education and the opportunity to provide the best learning environment for our children.

Under Mr. Kreman's leadership, we feel our school district has seen a decline in the quality of teachers and quality of education for our children. Our trust in our current administration continues to decline. We also feel the culture inside the doors has also declined, and a culture of fear and mistrust has been cultivated rather than one that fosters growth, collaboration, and respect. 

We as parents and tax payers must stand and demand a change. The impact on our children’s education is too important to ignore or leave unaddressed.

Therefore, we urge the West Lyon School board to consider these experiences when deciding on Mr. Keenan’s contract renewal this June, 2024. The board will decide whether or not to renew his contract. We believe that West Lyon Community School deserves better leadership, one that builds trust within its staff members, prioritizes student welfare, and promotes a positive learning environment for our children above all else.
