The NC House recently passed a bill, known as the Parent's Bill of Rights, that would force teachers to out students to their families due to preferred name or pronoun changes, and also prohibit the teaching of gender identity and sexuality in grades K-4. This can cause issues at home, and in some cases, children could be kicked out.

We need to step up for the rights and safety of our fellow LGBTQ+ students and children and prevent this bill from becoming reality. If this bill becomes effective, children will not have the ability to get an equal education that is free from discrimination. This is important to all of us.
