My daughter, along with many others, has been attending The Milldale Centre for years. It provides a vital service to those with disabilities and adds a social aspect to their lives that they would otherwise lack. Now, this lifeline is threatened by the proposed merger of The Milldale Centre and The Mirin Centre - a decision driven by the need to bridge a £14 million financial gap in council budgets. But at what cost?

The closure or merging of these centres would be catastrophic for all users and their families. These centres are more than just buildings; they are communities that provide invaluable support for some of our most vulnerable citizens in Renfrewshire, UK.

The question we must ask ourselves is why should this group of vulnerable adults have to suffer due to overspending by others? We cannot allow these essential services to become casualties of budget cuts.
