Stafford Town Board vs Stafford Resident Jim Pontillo, Batavia Court 10/7/24 10:30 2nd Floor.  If you are able, please show up to watch court to show the citizens are interested in saving the Trading Post / IOOF Hall.  

 The owner is waiting for approval of the work order to start finishing the exterior.  Interior is 95% complete.  Stafford Town Board lawsuit states the building will be torn down at the owner's expense!   The owner cannot even sell the building due to the lawsuit, Preservation Society cannot assist due to the lawsuit.  The judge was previously ready to rule to have it demolished due to community complaints, but there was no evidence other than one complaint regarding the building (from the store next to it, signed Speaking for all of Stafford")  300 Stafford Residents have signed a petition opposing the town taking and demolishing the building.
