Court 10/15 synopsis: The town moves to take the building. The defendant’s lawyer provided the engineer’s short list of tasks to bring bldg into compliance for a generic vacant building to avoid debates on the use of the building, just to get siding up and allow the completion of the roof, which was just about done when a stop work order was issued. Water is starting to cause damage!
Pontillo's lawyer shows proof of funds from the revised task list submitted by the engineer. Judge said, even if it’s up to code, the community wants it torn down, correct? Do you have that evidence? There is one complaint…. from the building next door. (It is signed: Speaking for the entire town of Stafford)
The special prosecutor for the town hired for this case requests 2 weeks to regroup. Critical that residents show up in court (to watch) showing how many don’t want the building torn down. This msg only reaches people who signed online, not the 200 additional signatures on paper, here is the link to send to any interested parties. once they sign the petition they will get updates. COURT: THURSDAY NOVEMBER 7th, 10:30 2nd floor.
