As a resident of Monument, Colorado, specifically the Woodmoor area, I am deeply concerned and personally affected by the plan to build a Buc-EE's next to our low-density residential neighborhood. For those unfamiliar, Buc-EE's is a huge truck stop chain known for its vast establishments that provide convenient services to truckers and travelers alike. However, these services do not cater to the needs of our community, especially, when what we really need is a grocery store like KingSoopers.

The proposed construction site is located on Monument Hill, an area prone to harsh winter conditions, featuring elevated levels of ice and snow. Building an establishment with high traffic intensity like a truck stop in such a location could pose significant safety risks and could potentially disrupt the peace of the local neighborhoods. On the contrary, a grocery store like KingSoopers, part of the Kroger family, could help meet the local demand for everyday household needs while remaining compatible with the character of our existing residential areas.

Let's acknowledge and respect the needs of our community residents while considering the potential environmental and societal impacts of developing such an establishment in our area.
