The Cellar Wadhurst is not only my business, but it's also shows why Wadhurst is such a great place, full of great business. So much time and work has gone into this from us and Mick, Tina & their family. A month ago, we were excited to open The Cellar Wadhurst - a place that many have come to enjoy. Now, we have unfortunately received an enforcement notice from Wealden District Council, demanding we close within 28 days. We believe unlawfully. We now need to show them this is something Wadhurst wants. Such an action is heartbreaking, not only to us, but we really feel people have enjoyed what we have had to offer in the last month. We believe that a high street should be vibrant, busy, and packed with excellent options for people to enjoy. When our families, neighbours and friends support Cellar Wadhurst, they're supporting the wider community. This issue is not just about one business; it's about maintaining the character and spirit of our beloved town.
