Prevent Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Entry into Spain due to murder of students
The Issue
The pain of losing loved ones remains fresh in our hearts, as my family in Bangladesh bear witness to unutterable atrocities inflicted upon their friends and acquaintances. Universities such as BRAC University and University of Dhaka have turned into battlegrounds, falsely justified under the banner of a skewed employment quota system. A staggering fall out from this violent repression has been a confirmed death toll of 40 students, a number expected to sadly rise.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her government are accused of gross human rights violations, stemming from their authorization of brutal crackdowns on peaceful protestors. These protestors advocate against the immoral exploitation of a system that reserves 30% of public sector jobs for 'freedom fighters'. Over time, this system has shamefully endorsed corruption and favoritism, turning its back on fair play and justice.
Spain, a beacon of democracy and human rights, must unequivocally reject such abuses. This petition calls upon the Spanish Government to ban Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from entering Spain, in a stand against the alleged persecution of innocent students in Bangladesh.
By taking a stand, we set in motion the much-needed reform for Bangladesh to help rid it of the corrosive effects of corruption and propaganda. We believe that this is a necessary step towards reinstating a truly representative democracy for the people of Bangladesh. We need people to spread awareness of the mass brutality taking place in Bangladesh. Your signature brings us closer to this goal. So, add your name to the demand for justice and change - sign the petition.
