After the news that UBC will be pressing ahead with their plans to cone the nest tomorrow, Wed 14 September, many people have got in touch to ask if there will be a peaceful protest at the coning tomorrow. If people would like to do this, the nest is situated at Birney Avenue and Ross Drive on UBC campus in Vancouver (Wesbrook village). There is a large billboard underneath the nest, and public transport links and on street parking are available. We do not know what time the coning will go ahead.

If anyone does choose to protest, we thank you for your commitment, and ask that we make sure to respect property and people while doing so. Please do share any photos / videos to save.ubc.eagles@gmail.com.

We are not giving up and if the coning goes ahead we will keep trying to get it removed before the breeding season restarts in January, including using legal channels if necessary.
