As a deeply concerned local councillor in Morecambe, I bear witness to the indispensable role Morecambe Post Office on Victoria Street plays in our community. This centre of the community doesn't only provide general postal services, but also a diverse array of services that many of our residents heavily rely on. Alarmingly, we have learnt that this post office is being earmarked for closure by The Executive of The Post Office.

Closing this facility would create a enormous void in our community, and leave many of our residents grappling with the absence of a hotbed of community interaction and an invaluable provider of various services. The Morecambe Post Office is such a vital community hub that has served us for many years, deeply interwoven with our community life in a manner than cannot be easily replaced.

We urge the Chief Executive of The Post Office to reconsider this plan that threatens to dismantle an integral part of our community. Let us collaborate together to maintain and develop this facility which provides critical support to our community. This campaign calls for the individual and collective voices of our community to resonate in a steadfast plea to protect Morecambe Post Office.

Please, sign this petition and help us protect our community hub.
