This petition has now been submitted to Ofcom. We expect a response soon and will notify if and when a reponse is given.

If none is given, we'll make a second attempt to glean a suitable response.

As teams from ITV will fly out to USA to cover the Olympics, we can only surmise that much is being discussed and negotiated informally as well, about this proposed takeover by USA's 5th and 7th largest political lobbyiest.

BBC stayed back due to lack of funds, the attacks on the licencing fee have made it weaker. It would not be bad idea to suggest that people cancel American contracts and invest more in their national and European stations. ITV on Demand, Channel 4 on Demand and BBC iPlayer offer a wide plethora of kids, teen and grown-up's viewing.

On October 25th 2024 The Sun reported:

"A MAJOR sporting event is set to come off free-to-air TV for the first time in its history.

The 121-year-old competition will leave ITV after Warner Bros Discovery and Eurosport secured exclusive rights to broadcast it.

As a result, viewers will be forced to pay to see the most watched annual sporting event in the world, from the 2026 edition onwards.

The competition being stripped away is the Tour de France."

Meanwhile we note that when the Vice President J.D Vance was booed by the crowds at the Olympics, the American BBC  NBC, owned by Comcast, censored that, as well as the booing of the team representing Israel. Regardless of politics, the censoring of actuality like this is not acceptable and rings alarm bells about state power that we should all heed.
