Administration and Finance headed by Carl Carlucci has proven incompetent and we as the student body would like to call for his and the rest of the leadership of Administration and Finance's resignation. They have not upheld the best interests for the University of Houston, nor its students. 

1) The department continues to work with HigherOne, a company that has been fined $11 million by the FDIC for a violation of  consumers’ rights, which include: charging an excessive fee per  transaction, delaying student refunds, and instituting inactivity penalties.

2) The department continues to work with Aramark, a corporation which is best known for feeding prisoners, and grossly over charge for their services and food, while providing poor quality, limited options, and horrific customer service to students. 

3) The department oversees Parking and Transportation, a division with hundreds of complaints a day. The primary complaint is the limited parking on campus. Further complaints includes, the quality of the parking lots, and pricing of parking. The department neglects these concerns and continues to allocate the funds for non-related Parking and Transportation means in order to cover overhead costs on other projects.

4) With a 73.9% vote, the student body voted in favor of a Memorandum of Understanding to raise student fees in order to allocate funding towards construction on the now, TDECU Stadium, and Hofheinz Stadium. As part of this MOU, students were guaranteed several things including student oversight of the usage of the facilities, a student tailgate area (pavilions), and free usage of the stadium or arena twice a year. Dr. Carl Carlucci, Emily Messa, & Esmerelda Valdez made every attempt to take over $83 million of student money without honoring the MOU.

5) Administration and Finance also refused to present to the Student Fees Advisory Committee in a public  forum, despite all other Student Service Fee funded units being required to.  Executive Vice President Dr. Carl Carlucci and Associate Vice President Emily Messa agreed to meet with only part of the Student Fees Advisory  Committee in a private forum, but instead had Assistant Vice President  Esmerelda Valdez attend in their absence and failed to give substantive  answers to the Student Fees Advisory Committee’s questions

We as the student body of the University of Houston would like the immediate resignation of: 

Dr. Carl Carlucci, Executive Vice President

Emily Messa, Associate Vice President 

Esmerelda Valdez, Assistant Vice President

and replaced with competent and honorable personnel.
