President Trump to order execution of Ronald Gray's death sentence for 80s serial murders

The Issue

Dear President Donald J. Trump:

Ronald Adrin Gray has been sitting on the U.S. military's death row for almost 4 decades, after he committed a series of brutal serial murders, rapes, and abductions throughout 1986 and 1987 around Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Gray's 4 murder-victims include a U.S. Army servicewoman, Private Laura Lee Vickery-Clay, and 3 civilians, Linda Jean Coats, Tammy Cofer Wilson, and Kimberly Ann Ruggles; he also raped and attempted to murder another U.S. Army servicewoman, Private Maryann Lang Nameth. Gray's death sentence was initially set to be executed on December 10, 2008, after then-President George W. Bush had approved and ordered it on July 28, 2008, and then-SECARMY Pete Geren scheduled it on August 14, 2008; but it was suddenly stayed by the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas on November 26, 2008, due to pending appeals. Gray has since exhausted all of his appeals, after SCOTUS denied his final writ of cert on June 28, 2018. In accordance with Executive Order 14164, "Restoring The Death Penalty And Protecting Public Safety," signed by President Trump during his first day back in-office, now would be the best time to finally approve and order the execution of Gray's death sentence, as handed down to him 4 decades ago, once and for all.

President Trump, let’s finally get closure and justice for the victims and their families, who had to endure Ronald Gray's egregious crimes committed almost 4 decades ago. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
