نناشد السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي، رئيس جمهورية مصر العربية، استخدام صلاحياته الدستورية والقانونية ووقف التصديق على أحكام الإعدام الصادرة من المحاكم المصرية خلال العشر سنوات القادمة. وهي بادرة إنسانية من السيد الرئيس لإزالة أية احتقانات سياسية واجتماعية، وخطوة أولى على طريق فتح نقاش مجتمعي وقانوني واسع حول العقوبة والآليات المثلى للردع ومنع تكرار الجرائم.

Towards comprehensive community peace  

We appeal to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to use his constitutional and legal powers to stop the ratification of death sentences issued by Egyptian courts for the upcoming ten years. It is a humanitarian gesture by the President to remove any political and social tensions, and a first step on the way to opening a broad societal and legal discussion about punishment and the best mechanisms for deterrence and the prevention of the recurrence of crimes.
