The Issue

More than 200 girls were abducted from a school in Chibok, Nigeria. The group suspected of being responsible for their abduction is Boko Haram, an al-Qaida-linked jihadi group.  The girls were taken at gunpoint and have disappeared without a trace.  Last week, school principal Asabe Kwambura told the Associated Press that 43 students had been accounted for, but 230 were still missing. The Nigerian government is not acting with urgency and the longer the girls are away, the greater the risk of sexual violence, psychological trauma and death. Call on the United Nations and international support for intervention. As a father of two remarkable young daughters, please identify with the pain and suffering of these parents, communities and classmates to lose their beloved daughters/friends without any outrage or help from those who believe in justice. Please act and help pressure the Nigerian government to find and return the young girls.
