After seeing time and time again guilty people get away with hurting children and the long lasting effects these crimes inflict on their victims;because their victims either come forward later in life when they are no longer afraid of their attacker or the offense is covered up is usually after the statute of limitations has passed. There is a great deal of research that shows the damage of sex crimes can last a last a life time and even create the victim to become a predator. we need to stop the cycle. Parents who have a child that is a molester/rapist/sex offender or abuses another child the parent(s) should be mandated to report said child to authorities. There should also be a high punishment (prison time and removal of any other children from custody of said parent(s)) for any parent or custodial guardian that covers the offense up.
