In light of recent acts of violence, particularly the murder of Christina Grimmie and the mass murder of 50 individuals in Orlando, FL, we propose that every venue (concert, club, and otherwise) have a functional metal detector at every entrance and that re-entry be limited in the aforementioned entertainment venues (I.e. designated smoking sections outside). It is our hope that these extra precautions be passed into law, and that they be enforced to prevent senseless tragedies such as those we have witnessed in Florida, and countless other places across the country as well. Although this will not be a permanent fix, it is our hope that it will help lessen the frequency.
