The current system we have in place clearly is not working. The "invisible hand" defined by Adam Smith is no longer guiding members of the free market on the right path. Neoclassical economics is exponentially increasing the income gap and has caused a process of systemized robbery to cripple the common man. Banks are blinding politicians with their lobbyists and causing American democracy to lose its trademark of freedom. Things clearly are not working and desperately need to be addressed.
