Cities across the USA are violating the Constitution of our country by ignoring the separation of church and state.  Theist organizations are bombarding our governmental officials with letters that proclaim the "In God We Trust", as a motto and not a religious statement.  Of course this is dishonest and inaccurate, since the original motto of the USA is "E pluribus unum — out of many, one", NOT "IGWT".

IGWT was adopted in the 1950s as a result of the cold war, in an attempt by the USA to alianate itself from the "atheistic" and communist society of Russia.  Today, Russia has a growing Orthodox Christian population and if there was another cold war, the motto of IGWT would be utterly irrelevant.

The only thing that IGWT achieves, is to divide the USA between the religious population and those who don't find evidence in any religion, be it agnostics or atheists, which are in growing numbers in this country.

Let's make sure our voices are heard and our message be clear, the Wall of Separation between Church and State must be protected.  Our country was never founded as a theocracy, but a Democratic Republic and we intend to keep it that way.

Please sign the petition to remove "In God We Trust", from every establishment and device utilized by the State and repair the damage done to our wall of separation between the Church and State.
