On August 15th, 2020, 20 year old Izaiah Riojas was shot and killed. He was with a group of "friends" inside a vehicle, when the friends supposedly were "playing" with a gun and the gun went off. The bullet hit the back of his head and he died at the scene. The "friends" dragged him out of the vehicle and left him to die, while some ran away and others stayed. His wallet was stolen and money was taken out of his debit card through different ATM machines in the area.  Somehow his bank account was closed the following day after his death by an unknown person. His mother received a call the night of his death, telling her that her "son was shot" then they hung up. So far the main person who shot him has been arrested and is awaiting trail. The rest of the "friends" have changed their stories so much and have not been held accountable for their participation in this matter. It is believed that he may have been lured by a female to go out with the group and their plan was to beat him. This is what some text messages reveal. The investigator on the case has stonewalled the family and refuses to hold the other people accountable. Instead he has threatened Izaiah's mother and family members with arrest and other actions. This investigator has been on the force for almost 27 years and may have other similar incidents as well with other cases.  Please sign this petition and demand justice for this family and for Izaiah Riojas.
