Hello My name is Yamile (yah-ma'lay) Colón, I would like to start a petition against the federal government regarding mine and others social security number. I am currently a victim of identity theft, fraud, and forgery. I have followed all legal actions and protocol against this matter, and yet this person is roaming around freely, while I am constantly being harassed, thrown under investigation, and threatened by the social security administration and the county assistance office, this has affected my social security benefits and my TANF assistance. The IRS did not protect my social security number in 2011 when the person who is using my social security number "my former employer who I worked for in 2008" filed an income tax refund under my identity but it was reversed due to no W-2 form on file, and my social security number is still being used to this present date for employment and wages. I would like the law regarding us having to provide social security numbers to any employer, any credit card agency etc...., I feel like a personal pin should be created that's attached to your social security number and that be used and only use our social security number for government agencies related businesses and such, to prevent anything like this ever happening again to anyone else. Who or how are we suppose to protect ourselves from identity theft when the person using it use to be your boss???? I am really asking for all your help and support, this is really affecting my life, my health, my mental health, my family, and my benefits. Update: as of November 8th, 2021 the irs has proven my identity theft and cleared me of all wrong doing. In mid 2022 the employer filed a wage reversal, but still has her freedom and hasn't paid for what she has done and caused.
