With the news that Coach Bobby Bowden is facing terminal illness, the time is now to make sure he knows how much he means to so many people and there is not a better way to do so than by changing the name of the county that is home of The Florida State University to Bowden County.

Leon County is named after the explorer Juan Ponce de Leon.  There is already a Ponce de Leon, Florida.  Leon County should be named Bowden County.
