The purpose of this petition is to propose to the United States leaders and lawmakers the decriminalization of natural medications such as Cannabis and Psilocybin Mushrooms. 

The modern research on the effectiveness of these treatments is not only now easily accessible to the public, but it demolishes the outdated propaganda that has been placed in the forefront of availabile information on these products. States all over the country are initiating this change by fighting for the legalization of the plant known as Marijuana. CBD oils derived from this plant have been an effective treatment option— even if only symptomatic treatment— for patients all over the world suffering with ailments such as (but not limited to); Fybromyalgia, Bipolar Disorders, Epilepsy/ Seizures, Depression, Anxiety, Neuropathy, Insomnia, Cancers, and more. 

Now that there is an open healthy conversation about Cannabis and it’s potential benefits, the people are starting to look into more natural remedies such as Psilocybin Mushrooms. Denver, Colorado is to be the first city to decriminalize Psilocybin Mushrooms. These “Magic Mushrooms” have been studied recently as an effective treatment of depression. 

This petition is not asking for anything that is not already in the process of being done, only to speed up the process to help those still needlessly suffering at the hands of outdated legislation. There are millions of people who feel that natural medicine is a better alternative for them than pharmaceuticals and they should be given the legal choice of how they wish to treat their ailments, especially when it comes to treatments directly derived from the Earth. Right now, their only legal choice is to follow suit and be treated with pharmaceuticals even if they are adamantly against that option, and that is an unfair monopoly over our bodies.
