Bring back American Manufacturing to the USA

Bring back American Manufacturing to the USA

The Issue

The massive shortage of PPE and medical equipment during America’s first pandemic of this century was exacerbated by the profound realizatiom that nearly all manufacturing for this industry is done overseas.

The avarice of corporations has pimped out the welfare of the country to the point that it becomes an issue of national security.

We are a world power that forgot how we become one. Nearly all PPE and crucial medical supplies (from syringes to sterile saline, needles, catheters, etc) and medicines are being predominantly manufactured in China.

What if China were to become increasingly hostile towards us? What kind of Defense could we wage against the aggression of foreign governments if we could not ramp up manufacturing of what we need within our own borders?! If we did not have these industries here during World War II we would not have been able to win it.

I’m calling for all Americans who had to endure loved ones getting sick at the front lines, in all walks of life, Americans who took to their sewing machines and 3D printers to try to fill the gap that corporations could not fill, all Americans everywhere to vow to boycott all clothing purchases that are Made in China for the duration of this calendar year.

If you tested positive, whether you caught it in travels or at the frontlines of health care or just hanging out with friends, if you were hospitalized, if you lost your job because of the shutdown of business, if you watched someone you loved fall ill, or maybe even pass away from this pandemic, take a stand. We may have been foolish before to let it get to this point but no more will we turn a blind eye to the outsourcing of America.

I know this will be very inconvenient for us, but what inconvenience we would, as Americans endure, for the good of our fellow countrymen and women! Let us vote with our money. Let’s put our money where our mouth is. Let’s make a difference.

Enough is enough. Bring our manufacturers back. Never let this happen again.
