Dear United States of America,

On March 27, 1970, Singer/Song-Writer/Producer/Actress/Mogul/Icon 'Mariah Carey' was born right here in the United States of America. As a young child she faced many obstacles and through her pain she began to write music. The music she wrote as a teenager later became world-wide phenomenons. She's the BEST selling female artist of ALL time.

Mariah Carey is the VOICE of the people. She writes life changing music that ultimately shaped this planet for the better. Her christmas album is the best selling christmas album of all time and it also spawned 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' (The BEST selling/performing Christmas track of all time, which she wrote)

Mariah Carey DESERVES to be honored for her hard work and dedication. She has 18 #1 singles on the United States Billboard Hot 100 chart. (She's SECOND to the Beatles!) She spent 79 weeks at the top of the Billboard charts. She's truly an advocate and a hero to the citizens of the world.

I personally don't have the time to list all of Mariah Carey's achievements. It would take years to list facts. Her career speaks for itself and the facts don't lie. Mariah Carey currently has the longest running #1 song in music history. (One Sweet Day, 16 weeks at #1)

I believe it's time for America to salute a Hero. Mariah Carey represents: class, elegance, triumph, honor, dignity, and determination. Let's remember March 27th as national 'Mariah Carey' day.
