Allow Pride Flags on all military base housing
The Issue
There are over 16,000 military members that identify as part of the LGTBQ+ community. Along with those 16,000+ military members, there are countless LGBTQ+ children and family members living on military bases.
Currently, the Department of Defense does not allow Pride Flags to be flown on government or military buildings, which includes the private residences of military members living and paying rent, on those bases.
We believe that the DOD should change this policy and allow military members to fly Pride flags on their residence for which they are paying rent. If the DOD refuses to change its policy, we petition President Joe Biden to change this rule for them.
