One of the COP26 Glasgow Leaders’ Declaration signatories, President of Sierra Leone Julius Maada Bio, still appears to be planning to needlessly destroy five separate ecosystems including pristine rainforest, protected wetlands and fish spawning grounds home to endangered species.

Due process

There has been a lack of due process from beginning to end, national/international laws have not been followed.


Environment

In an eco-sensitive area no Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) has been carried out.


Transparency

All requests for information or detail have been ignored.
