I want to thank everyone immensely for their support. While half of U.S. adults have now received at least 1 dose of some type of COVID-19 Vaccine, many countries across the world have little to no access to the vaccine (including countries that are seeing some awful spikes). Would you kindly join me in sharing this tweet?
These are people's parents, children, uncles, aunts, cousins, teachers, friends, colleagues, and more who have died or are left with some really challenging health conditions. And the variants that arise are more contagious or deadly to those who aren't vaccinated and potentially more effective against even those who are fully vaccinated.
This is not something to mess around with at all. The world has successfully implemented mass vaccination efforts with Polio and Small Pox and other deadly diseases.
We need to be doing much better right now and fortunately, more media attention is being drawn to this issue. See this opinion article in the NY Times.
I am going to be rolling out more actionable steps we can take to ramp up the pressure in these updates (so stay tuned). But for now, join me in sharing this tweet, inviting your networks to sign on to this petition, and let's increase the pressure on our decision-makers to do the right thing.
